The BRAIN Exhibition
NY Hall of Science
October 11, 2014  through March 29, 2015

As an artist and mindfulness practitioner, I have used meditation techniques to fire and wire new connections in my brain to cultivate creativity and well-being.

The intersection of art, nature, and science relative to the brain, is the inspiration for my photographic work called “Connections”.  Colorful abstractions of spider webs, tree branches, and nature are an analogy for complex interconnections within the brain.

The brain, so small and yet more powerful than a super computer, is an amazing gift.  The concept of making connections, whether through a web, a branch, or electrical impulses, is the foundation and inspiration for the creation of this art.

The idea of neuroplasticity, the ability to change or form new connections in the brain, brings great hope to help people maximize their well-being.  My art reflects these connections, and the limitless possibilities of the mind.

I am a catcher of moments, a maker of shapes. Exploring connections, and the unseen energy within the vastness of the universe.
